The Diamondback Exercise Bike - Best Choice For The
Heavy-Duty Cyclist
Diamondback is a well-known brand in street bicycles, but some reviewers argue
that their skills do not translate well the production of stationary models.
Offering exercise bikes in the mid-price range, some of their models do not
offer the features that an exerciser has come to expect when purchasing a
machine in this price range. Does this mean that the
Diamondback exercise bike
is not one of the best fitness bikes available?
While Diamondback may previously have invested their efforts in their on-road
bikes to the detriment of their stationary models, they have taken on board the
needs of today’s exerciser and considered the availability of other quality
names on the fitness equipment market. Where previously Diamondback’s basic
model came without a heart rate monitor or pre-programmed workouts, the 300
recumbent exercise bike, for example, has been updated to the 400, which now includes
these features. Ranging from mid-price range to the more expensive end of the
market, Diamondback now offers a better deal in their basic models, though at a
price of about $550 for the basic recumbent, they are not necessarily going to
be the best choice for the first time fitness bike user. Their basic upright
model at
about $400 is a better deal.
The advantage of a Diamondback fitness bike is undoubtedly the top-notch
construction and quality of the frames of their bikes. Having spent many years
manufacturing well-known and reliable road bicycles, it makes sense that their
fitness equipment will boast the same durability. All the exercise bikes in both
their recumbent and upright ranges are extremely solid and tough, perhaps making
them the best choice for a serious and heavy-duty cyclist.
