Use a Dumbbell Bench Press to Get the Most Out Of Your
Workout
When you’re working out with dumbbells, a dumbbell bench press will help
you get the most benefits from your dumbbell workout routine. To get started
with your workout, you should sit on the bench with the dumbbell weights on your
thighs. Then lift the dumbbells to your shoulders and lie back. Keep the
dumbbells to the side of your chest with your elbows bent until you are ready to
start your workouts. Then you press upwards stretching your arms out straight.
Every person has different routines that he/she likes to use when working out
with dumbbells. A typical home gym workout usually lasts from 45 to 60 minutes
and during that time you do various types of exercises using the dumbbells while
on the bench press.
There is also a proper way of getting on and off the bench press. When you first
start your routine, choose the dumbbell set you want to use first. Then straddle
the bench press with your legs on either side, sit down and then lie down. This
enables you to be able to start your workout easily because you already have the
dumbbells you need in your hands.
The dumbbell weights you choose and the routine you follow while on the bench
press will target certain muscles and help to strengthen them. There are
specific exercises to use with the dumbbells depending on the muscle group. For
example, to strengthen the shoulder muscles, you would use a variety of
exercises targeting the muscles in the upper body, such as flexion, extensions
and transverse flexion.
You might even want to vary your routines so that you are working out different
muscles on different days. It would not be wise to spend longer than an hour at
a time on any one muscle group so you can also try a variety of bench press
exercises with your dumbbell weights within any one workout. You also need to
rest on alternate days so that your muscles do not get fatigued from overuse.
