Equipment
Properly maintaining your treadmill according to manufacturer’s recommendations
is of utmost importance. Sometimes we neglect to maintain the machine until some
part needs to be replaced. That’s where a good warranty comes in. Different
models come with different types and lengths of warranties, so this is something
to bear in mind when considering your purchase. A warranty is not, however, a
foolproof protection plan, and we must remember that, as with any purchase, we
must look after our investment, and so

If something is faulty and does break down on your treadmill and you are still
under warranty, then it is only a matter of contacting the manufacturer for any treadmill replacement parts or

Treadmills are built to very high specifications, and so usually you will not
need to fall back on your warranty. But with a small amount of home maintenance,
you can ensure the prolonged life of your treadmill, and reduce the likelihood
that you might later need to purchase replacement parts.
Many manufacturers sell maintenance packs with their treadmills, and these can
be a good investment. Wipe down your treadmill regularly, and check the
motorized parts for any debris that may have gotten trapped there. A treadmill
mat is also a good preventative measure. Maintain your treadmill regularly and
if anything appears damaged, then contact the manufacturer immediately – they
will be able to supply you with a replacement part. Do not take risks if
anything appears faulty on your treadmill – replacing a part is only a small
job, and could ensure your safety.
