Used Gym Equipment – Check out the “R” Variety
Purchasing used gym equipment is a great way to give yourself a good workout and
fitness routine at home, and save a lot of money if your budget is limited.
Times have changed; you don’t have to blow thousands of dollars on expensive,
heavy equipment. Now you have the opportunity to buy used pieces of the “R”
variety: Reconditioned, Refurbished, Remanufactured – even Repossessed!
When looking at refurbished gym fitness equipment, be sure to read the comments
and reviews on refurbished . You’ll be amazed at the amount of work done on
these machines and it really isn’t fair to call them “used.” Refurbished gym
equipment goes through a special process, not just a replacement of parts and
pads, but one that includes installing new electronics in treadmills,
elliptical machines, etc., new power-coat painting, and a complete diagnostic
evaluation. You may have even tried out a refurb treadmill yourself, since lots
of gyms are buying refurbs instead of new, and their customers don’t know the
difference. It helps them keep costs down. You should also consider purchasing
this type of used fitness equipment.
Fitness equipment that was repossessed from health clubs or gyms is an
especially good deal. It may or may not have been through the refurbishing phase
so be sure to do your homework, but this type of commercial equipment has
usually been well-maintained and the machines are built to last.
Purchasing used machines allows you to save money so you can afford to complete
other components of your home gym – such as gym mats, weights, or maybe a new
hi-def TV to hang on the wall. So check out some of the “R” variety of used
fitness equipment. You’ll find some of the best made brands in the world that
look brand new once refurbished, and are as reliable and smooth as if you had
purchased them new.
